There are patients with knee meniscal injuries so severe that only excision and menisectomy remain the option. These patients often experience rapid deterioration of their joints. Meniscal tissue transplants are one approach that is infrequently discussed but can lead to excellent outcomes. Is it a cure? Unlikely. But it can significantly slow the progression of osteoarthritis. In this session we will share what we have learned about meniscal transplants over the past 18 years.
